The Allt y bela Garden Theatre
The Allt y bela Garden Theatre returns in 2020 with two performances from the incredible company of players who bring us The Handlebards. Please note that both plays are on Sundays in 2020 and so will start a little earlier than our usual performance times.
Sunday 21st June 2020
Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest
This two-hander is the first non-Shakespeare production from The Handlebards and we can't wait to see what the team does with it. We expect (more than!) the usual amount of audience participation as the garden at Allt y bela is transformed into a stage for the evening.
Sunday 6th September 2020
William Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors
The play will be performed by The HandleBards, the celebrated cycling theatre company. The high-energy troupe provide hugely entertaining and imaginative performances, with minimal props and only four players. Expect to lend a hand if you're seated near the front!
This will be the fourth year The Handlebards have performed at Allt y bela and so we know you're guaranteed a wonderful evening of theatre and friendship, whichever play you choose to see.
Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden theatre from 4:00pm before the play starts at 5:00pm.
Parking is available from 3:00pm at USK SHOWGROUND.
Minibus transport to Allt y bela will be provided. Bring a cushion, a coat and an umbrella - the show will go on whatever the weather!
