Part-Time Propagator
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic propagator to join a small team of gardeners and working alongside internationally recognised garden designer Arne Maynard in a private domestic garden in Monmouthshire, South Wales.
The role would suit someone who loves growing plants, has a good knowledge of propagation and enjoys nurturing plants from seed, cuttings and division through to planting.
The role:
• 1–2 days per week
• Self-employed
• Working as part of a small, friendly team of gardeners
• Based in a beautiful private domestic garden
• Flexible working days to be agreed
Key responsibilities:
• Propagating a wide range of plants from seed, cuttings and division
• Caring for young plants and ensuring they are healthy and well established
• Potting on and maintaining plants in the greenhouse and growing areas
• Keeping propagation areas clean, organised and well maintained
• Taking responsibility for watering, feeding and general plant care
• Working alongside the wider gardening team to ensure plants are ready for the garden when required
We are looking for someone who:
• Is genuinely passionate about plants and growing
• Has practical experience in propagation and plant care
• Is reliable, organised and takes pride in their work
• Has a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn
• Enjoys working as part of a small team
• Has a practical, hands-on approach and a love of gardening
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who is passionate about growing things and would enjoy working in a beautiful private garden as part of a dedicated gardening team.

Professional Gardeners
We specialise in designing large country gardens in the UK and USA and are regularly asked by our clients to help source professional gardeners and head gardeners to manage their ongoing care. Our gardens require skilled gardeners with experience of the full range of garden jobs and in particular the confidence to clip topiary, prune fruiting and ornamental trees, maintain herbaceous borders, execute extensive spring bulb displays and manage productive kitchen gardens.
